The Plaintive Death Cry of the Leftist Fairy-land
The Out-cry over Ruth Bader Ginsberg Being Replaced: Disgusting, Entertaining, or a Little of Both?
Seeing (supposedly) grown adults act like silly, spoiled, over-grown toddlers IS entertaining. I mean, you can’t help but laugh out loud when you see stupidity like this:
(Crass Language Alert)
Or this:
But on the other hand, it’s also disgusting and somewhat disconcerting when you think about occupying the same country with people who are this unhinged and unable to deal with reality. Just the fact that they have no clue how to keep things like this in perspective is a testimony to how pampered and spoiled they have been while living a charmed life and never knowing any real hardships.
I do not sympathize with these people or in any way feel sorry for them; however, in order to make sense out of these histrionic overreactions, you have to fully grasp what’s really going on here. These people are witnessing the death of a dream, and what we are seeing is the dying gasps of their vision for the America that they had hoped for.
These people had long hoped for an America where anybody could engage in any lifestyle they wanted, completely without commitments, without obligations, and with no consequences. It wasn’t enough to voice full-throated contempt for traditional morality, marriage, gender roles, or family values, nor was it sufficient for them to go off and live their lives as they pleased while leaving everybody else alone. Oh, no…they were going to fix it so they could shove it down our throats and pretend it was all mainstream and “normal” — and voicing any disapproval was going to be labeled as “hate speech”.
If their sexual behavior led to a pregnancy — free contraception and abortion on demand, eventually paid for by tax-payers as a form of “health care”, was within grasp. And that was only the tip of the iceberg of what these people wanted. Within a few short years, they were going to turn America into a secular, socialist hellscape, where they planned to live as they pleased with no constraints. Time and space would fail me to detail their entire dystopian dream. And it was almost theirs. Then, President Trump was elected, there was a re-awakening and a resurgence of traditional Americans standing up and proclaiming what they believed. This came with a new, bold wave of conservativism as people started to stand up for their religious rights, their freedom of expression, their constitutional rights to bear arms — -I don’t think I’ve ever seen more men and women standing up and proudly reclaiming their right to live out their traditional values. Meanwhile, we’ve witnessed dozens of high-profile defections from their movement as whole groups of people abandon their fairy-tale, never-never land approach to life and governance. This has been hard for them — their only hope was to ramrod a puppet president into place, by all means necessary, as a last-ditch effort and have the Supreme Court back them up in their shenanigans. But then, Ruth Bader Ginsburg died, and their hopes for overturning an election or running the Supreme Court died with her — and this whole thing has been hard for them to accept.
So when you see these people acting out, yeah, go ahead and laugh — it is hilarious, and go ahead and sneer in disgust — it is pathetic. But remember, someone’s dream to revolutionize society has died, and these overgrown children who were so used to throwing their weight around have just met with reality — that will at least help you to understand where they’re coming from.
